History of the Barony
The history of the barony of Caerthe is shrouded in much mystery and was formed before the College of Arms began keeping records. According to record the barony was officially registered by name in January of 1973, however the Known World Handbook shows the creation of the Caerthe River in the 1970 c.e. map. It is known that the Western and Eastern Kingdoms were formed, when a group of people had attended an event, reportedly in the East, and were so taken with the SCA that they formed the Barony of Caerthe, independent of any existing Kingdom, here in what it now the Outlands.
In time the area became part of the Kingdom of Atenveldt and was separated off into the Kingdom of Outlands some years later. Since then Caerthe has been known as a center of excellence in the arts.
