Judges, staff and visitors are not charge site fee.

Anyone entering into the competition area must sign two liability waivers and two media consent forms - one for Colorado Fabrics, the other for the Barony of Caerthe.

The call goes out, the challenge is issued – Golden Thimble IS BACK!

Four teams will compete for the honor and glory of being named CHAMPIONS of Golden Thimble 2019. Grab your garbing buddies and make epic period clothing!! Site Times: Day 1 9am to 8pm and Day 2 10am to 5pm. This is a 2-day event. Sign-in and set-up on Day 1 begins at 9am. Competition begins promptly at 10am. Competition ends at 7:45pm on Day 1; all persons must exit the site by 8pm. Day 2 resumes promptly at 10am. All project works ends at 3pm. Teams must dress their models by 3:30pm. Judging begins at 3:30, lasting for no more than 30 minutes. The Fashion Show with circuit through the retail side of the store begins at 4pm. Announcement of winners at 4:45pm. All persons and materials must exit the building by 5pm. Teams consist of 4 active competitive members. Fee per team is $170, with a $5 member discount per SCA member on the team. Team application can be found at the Barony of Cearthe website. Payment by check, payable to Barony of Cearthe, SCA, and a fully completed team application must be sent to Lady Zephyr c/o M.R. Thompson, 16703 E Navarro Drive, Aurora, CO 80013. The first four completed and paid team applications will be accepted. All applications must be received by February 15, 2019.

Competition rules and judging forms will be provided to the accepted teams prior to the competition. Challenge Roadblocks and Challenge Advantages will occur throughout the course of the competition. These will be unscheduled and vary in nature. A team may purchase their way out of one roadblock and assign it to another team. A team may also purchase an advantage. All part of the good spirited competition in making garb for a newcomer, someone who has been absent from the SCA for a while or someone who just needs a team to make their dream garb. From North Denver: Use I-25 South. Use the left 2 lanes to take exit 217B to merge onto I-270E towards Aurora/Limon. Continue for 7.1 miles and merge onto I-70E. Travel 2.6 miles and use any right 3 lanes after Peoria Street to use Exit 282 for I-225 S toward Aurora/Colorado Springs. Drive 7.5 miles on I-225 S and take Exit 4 Parker Road. Use the left lane of the exit lanes to merge onto South Parker Road. Drive 2.5 miles and use the far left of the left turn lanes to go east on Quincy Ave. In 400 feet, turn left at the first traffic light into the shopping center and continue heading north on unnamed road (in front of shops) for 1000 feet. Colorado Fabrics will be on the right. From West Denver: Use I-70 East and use any right 3 lanes after Peoria Street to use Exit 282 for I-225 S toward Aurora/Colorado Springs. Drive 7.5 miles on I-225 S and take Exit 4 Parker Road. Use the left lane of the exit lanes to merge onto South Parker Road. Drive 7.5 miles on I-225 S and take Exit 4 Parker Road. Use the left lane of the exit lanes to merge onto South Parker Road. Drive 2.5 miles and use the far left of the left turn lanes to go east on Quincy Ave. In 400 feet, turn left at the first traffic light into the shopping center and continue heading north on unnamed road (in front of shops) for 1000 feet. Colorado Fabrics will be on the right. From South Denver: Use I-25 North and right 2 lanes for Exit 200 for I-225 N toward Aurora/Limon. Drive 3.0 miles on I-225 S until Exit 4 Parker Road. Use the right lane of the exit lanes to leave I-225N. Then stay in the far left lane of the 3 right lanes for South Parker Road on the off ramp. Drive 2.5 miles and use the far left of the left turn lanes to go east on Quincy Ave. In 400 feet, turn left at the first traffic light into the shopping center and continue heading north on unnamed road (in front of shops) for 1000 feet. Colorado Fabrics will be on the right.
